Mary Ann "Mom" C. Helmer, 73, a native of Galliano and resident of Larose, 
passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Christian 
Fellowship Church. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. 

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald "Pop" Helmer Sr.; children, 
Ronald Helmer Jr., Melissa LeBlanc (David Sr.), Melinda Galjour (Chris), 
Marylynn Helmer (Shannon Collins), and Ryan Helmer (Brandi); grandchildren, 
Nicholas (Chad White) Corey, Max, Charlie, Olivia, Lauren, Coda and Jake 
Helmer, Ashley Gisclair (Travis), David LeBlanc Jr. (Jess Gast), Robin, Abbi, 
and Christopher Galjour (Angelle); and five great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edison and Sisca Duet; and sisters, 
Rita Blanchard and Naomi Cheramie. 

The family would like to thank Johna Lee, Linda Joseph and Journey Hospice for 
the compassion and kindness shown during their care of Mrs. Helmer. 

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
