Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1410.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== On October 20, 2014 the great angles of silence whispered peace to Pastor Eddie “Boonie” Jackson at the age of 69 and released him from all his pain. Pastor Eddie was born on March 7, 1943 in Houma, LA to the late McKinley and Queenester Jones, Jr. As a child, he attended Southdown School and resided in Terrebonne Parish, Houma, LA. Boonie was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, step-father and friend. Eddie is survived four brothers, Melvin Jones, Kevin Jones, Timothy Jones and Billy Joe Jones; two sisters, Loretta and husband Antoine Hampton and Maude and Husband Rudolph Diggs; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pastor Eddie Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Queenester Jones, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, McKinley Jones, Sr. and Cecile Mahoney; her maternal grandparents, Melvin and Maude Williams; one son Paul Jackson two sister, Cecile Jones; Joyce E. Matthews three brothers, McKinley Jones, Jr., Earl James Jones, and Lorenzo Jones; one nephews Gerard Jones; two nieces, Sha`Monique Johnson and Latina Vincent. Pastor Eddie was baptized in 1951. He became an ordained minister at the age of 35. Eddie worked for Terrebonne Consolidated Government until he became ill and wasn’t able to work anymore. Pastor will be sadly missed by all that he touched. He played a vital role in the lives of many. He enjoyed fishing, attending Bible study, and helping others. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Community Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. He will be laid to rest at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery in Houma, LA. ======================
