Ida Mae Jackson (Candy), 81, was born on October 14, 1932 and passed away on 
October 2, 2014 at 5:30 am. 
She was a native of Gibson and resident of Labadieville.

Visitation will be from 8 am until funeral time on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 
at St. Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville. Religious services will take place 
at 11 am at St. Mark Baptist Church. 

Interment will follow at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Hawkins Jr., Alvin Smith, Calvin Smith, 
Jerome (Paula) Smith; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-
grandchildren, 3 godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, 
relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Benjamin Hawkins Sr.; 2nd husband 
Andrew Jackson; parents Alma Fuller and Robert Cooks.

Landry’s Funeral Home, Inc., Thibodaux, LA is in charge of arrangements.
