Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1410.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Raymond Joseph Landry Sr., 81, a native of Larose and formerly of Houma, was born Jan. 5, 1933, and passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014, at the residence of his daughter, Maranda, in Tylertown, Mississippi, where he had resided for the past fourteen months. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at New Life Fellowship Church on Bayou Blue Road in Houma with the Rev. Ronnie Matherne officiating. He is survived by his sons, Raymond Landry Jr., of Galliano, and Enos Landry, of Houma; daughters, Maranda Merritt and husband, Noah, of Tylertown, Mississippi, Betty Landry and companion, Alvin McKay, of Larose, Melissa Landry, of Smithdale, Mississippi, and Sha-Sha Landry, of Tylertown, Mississippi; brothers Alton Landry and wife, Nettie, of Houma, Rodney Landry and wife, Brenda, of Lockport, and Bob Landry and wife, Wenona, of Mathews; sister, Lula Bourgious and husband, Monroe Cribb, of Larose; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustin Jr. and Adelia Matherne Landry; wife, Shirley Mae Landry; son, Noris Landry Sr.; brother, Noris Landry; granddaughter, Angel Landry; and grandsons, Leroy Lathem Jr. and Johnathon Lathem. Raymond was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. He had worked as a Tugboat Captain for more than 25 years with Cenac Towing in Houma. He enjoyed watching wrestling, playing bingo and going to the casino. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and godfather and will be deeply missed by all.
