Roy Joseph Matherne Jr., 52, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, Oct. 
5, 2014. 

A private service will be held at a later date. 

He is survived by his sons, Nicholas Leonard and wife, Shontelle, Chris 
Matherne and wife, Lauren, Jeremy Matherne and wife, Katelyn, and Steven 
Matherne and wife, Adrian; daughters, Heidi Matherne and husband, Kendrick, and 
Desiree Matherne; brothers, Ray Matherne, Ronnie Matherne, James Matherne, and 
Mark Matherne; sisters, Regina Falgoust, Tammy LeBlanc, Penny Matherne, and 
Railene Lovell; and 14 grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Amie Leonard; parents, Roy Sr. and 
Caroline Matherne and one grandchild. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
