Anita Denise Matthews, 52, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Dularge Community Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery. 

She is survived by her parents, Thelma and Alfred Matthews Sr.; sons, Wendell C. and Ernest C. Matthews; daughter, Courtney L. Matthews; sisters, Shewanda L. and Catina M. Matthews; and brother, Alfred Jr. (Karen) Matthews. 

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dana Marie Matthews; maternal grandparents, Mary and Stanley Davis; and paternal grandparents, Evalina and Robert Matthews. 

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
