McLaughlin, 80, a native and resident of Houma died peacefully on October 8, 2014. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 9:00AM until servide time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Interment: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No.2 He is survived by his wife, Anne Pierce McLaughlin. Children: Cynthia M. Bergeron, Jerome C. McLaughlin and wife Margaret, Nicole M. St Pierre, and Rebecca M. Arnette and husband Walter all from Houma. Grandchildren: Mistie B. Fonseca and husband Brian, Jenny B. Angeron and husband Noah, Brandi St Pierre, Brittany McLaughlin, Brandon McLaughlin, Mason Arnette, Samantha Arnette, and Natalie Arnette. 3 Great Grandchildren: Austin Fonseca, Hana McLaughlin, and Stella Angeron. Brother: Michael McLaughlin and wife Arlene and sister Pamela M. Spiers and husband Craig. 3 nieces and 3 nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford (Jelly) McLaughlin and Louise (Lou) Walker McLaughlin. Henry worked most of his life in the petroleum industry. He was proud of his military service in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was skilled in many diverse areas. He was a Mason (Lake Charles Lodge). He enjoyed fishing, RV’ing, traveling, car collections, and music of the 50’s. Most of all he loved his family and in his later years he wanted them around often. His family and friends will always remember his witty and endearing sense of humor. Christmas Eve was a special gathering for him. He called it “ The McLaughlin Clan Gathering”. The family wants to thank TGMC for the wonderful care provided in the ER, trauma unit, and CCU. We would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Russell Henry, Dr Edgar Feinberg II, Dr Peter Fail, Dr. Fritz Rau, and Sharon Allen of Synergy Home Care for the exceptional care given in the last months of his life.
