Claurette "Coopie" Autin Meyer, 81, died at home at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 
11, 2014. 
She was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Napoleonville, and grew up in Barataria.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Falgout 
Funeral Home in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the 
funeral home, 

with burial in Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery.

She is survived by her children, Ara Marie Meyer, Debra M. Hebert and husband, 
Neil, Alfred Meyer Jr., and Stephen Meyer, all of Des Allemands; grandson, Lee 
Stephen Hebert, and wife, Lindsey; great-grandson, Levi Franklin Hebert; and 
siblings, Amy Rojas, Ora Knight, Nada Broderick, Mervin Autin Sr., Yvonne 
Dufrene and Audrey Autin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred P. Meyer Sr.; parents, Claude 
Autin and Ara Ohmer Autin; and brother, Claude Autin Jr.

Claurette lived a sweet and simple life as a homemaker, taking care of the 
family she loved. She was a devout Christian who loved telling others about 
God.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
