Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1410.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Norman "Bee" Navarre, 80, a native of Bayou Sec in Labadieville and resident of Thibodaux, passed away on October 5, 2014. He was born on November 15, 1933. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 8:00 am until funeral time at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Church at 11:00 AM with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rita Mae Aucoin Navarre, son, Marvin, and Daughter Diane Hebert (companion Allen Parks) and a Grandson, Drew Hebert, brother, Sterling and wife Deanna, Aunt, Mary Ann Clement Arcement and husband Andrew and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his parents, Furcie and Lucy Clement Navarre, brother, Elton and sister-in- law Martha. Norman served in the Army in Korea, was past post Commander and Life Member of VFW Post 5097 and a charter member of South Thibodaux Fire Company. He worked for Crescent Construction Company for many years. He also was a bus driver for Lafourche Parish School Board for 18 years and after retiring from the school system, he worked at Caldwell Sugar Mill and also was former owner of St.Bernard's Grocery for 10 years. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Norman enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and woodworks. He especially enjoyed going to Blake's in the mornings to visit with all of his good friends. His love for the outdoors and gardening kept him busy year round. He was caring and generous and helped many people throughout his life. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Thibodaux Regional Hospital, St. Joseph Hospice and Acadian Ambulance Service for their expert care and genuine compassion.
