Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville from 9:00AM till funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in St. Anne Catholic Church cemetery in Napoleonville. He is survived by children, Vanessa Oncale Simoneaux and George Oncale Jr.; grandchildren whom he loved and cared for, Leo Simoneaux and wife Taner, Angelique Oncale, Elmo Simoneaux and Christy Simoneaux; great-grandchildren, Landen Alleman Simoneaux, Jacob and Meagan Justilian; and many nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Levie Bailey Oncale; his parents, Elmore Oncale and Lelia Adolph Oncale; brother, Eugene Oncale Sr.; sisters, Lollie Vice, Joyce Deery, Edna Campo, Bobbie Bergeron. He served in the Korean War. He was a lifelong employee of Texaco where he retired 26 years ago. After retirement he loved to travel with his wife and friends. He enjoyed taking anytime he had to go fishing and hunting. He loved to garden and share his fruits and vegetables with everyone. He was known to some as the “Satsuma Man”. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. The family would like to thank family and friends who supported him by bringing him food and visiting with him during his time of need.
