Ora Josephine Pellegrin Portier Charpentier Simpson, 92, died Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12:05 AM. 
She was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 9:00 AM until Service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. 

Entombment: St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Chauvin.

She is survived by her, Children, Brenda P. Martin, Darryl J. Portier and wife Joan, Millie P. Freeman and husband, Jerry, Nolan Portier, Jr and wife Janice, Craig A. Portier and fiance Susan Ensley, Grandchildren, June E. Davis, Paula E. Hebert, Amanda E. Melancon, Shane C. Portier, Amy E. Portier, Sunny Rae Portier, Scott C. Louviere, Leslie M. Louviere, Joshua N.Portier, Lacey A. Portier, Jena P. Parfait, Sadie P. Chauvin, Tiffany S. Legendre, Sarah P. Ghere and Craig A. She was preceded in death by her, First husband, Nolan J. Portier,Sr, Second Husband, Leon Charpentier, Third husband, Joe Simpson; Parents, Milka Mitchell Pellegrin and Aurora Cantrelle Pellegrin, Grandson, Jamie Louviere, Siblings, Vivian Chauvin, Eula Fanguy, Essie Pellegrin, Wilma Redmond, Easton Pellegrin, Thaddeus Pellegrin, Yvonne Cuneo, Horace Pellegrin, and Libby Duplantis, Stepson, Joseph Simpson

Ora was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church., where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Altar Society. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Lions Club, Terrebonne Parish Council on Aging and numerous other civic and church organizations. She was a world traveler, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards and participated in the Senior Olympics.

She loved having family visit her and loved spending time with her family.
