Steven Peter Stringer, 78, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 11:26 PM. He was 
a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Bourg, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM 
at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 
Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. 

Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.

He is survived by his, Wife of 58 years, Jeanette Marie Authement Stringer; 
sons, Keith Anthony Stringer, Sr. and wife, Elizabeth, Darren Paul Stringer and 
wife, Debroah, Troy Jude Stringer and wife, Cindy, and Scotty David Stringer 
and wife, Jill; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stringer and companion, Ivan, and 
Stacy Marie Stringer; grandchildren, Holly, Kayla, Keith Jr., Destiny, Jeremy, 
Matthew, Katelyn, David, Devon, Jamie, Michael, Kyle, Steven, Toni, Maggie, 
Naomi, Channing, Chloe and Grant; 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his, Parents, Hubert Frank and Earnestine Elodie 
Babin Stringer; brothers, Warren, Willard "Pete", Gervais and Hubert "Snow" J. 
Stringer; sisters, Lottie S. Gaston, Kate S. Price, Louella "Lou" S. Rogers and 
Gloria Stringer.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .

He retired from Texaco after 38 years. He was a 4th Degree member of the 
Knights of Columbus and volunteer at the WWII Museum. He enjoyed singing in the 
choir, woodwork, fishing, and golf.
