Rita Matthews Wiggins, 60, A native of Valentine, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA died at Chateau Terrebonne Nursing Home on Friday, October 24, 2014. 

Funeral Services will be held at Community Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, 2014 with visitation from 9a.m. until funeral time at 11:00a.m. 

She will be laid to rest at New Fountain Cemetery in Lockport, LA. 

She is survived by brothers, Joseph, Jr., Egerald, Henry and Burnell Matthews. Sisters, Annie Matthews, Deon Guidroz, Anita Poindexter and Christina Matthews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Joseph Matthews, Sr., one brother, Alvin Matthews Sr., and sister, Dorothy Mayer She enjoyed cooking.
