Albert, 88, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Schriever, passed away Friday, Nov. 21, 2014. He was born Feb. 19, 1926. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A military service will be held during the visitation. The burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Lagarde Boudreaux Albert; children, Debbie Gaudet and husband, Ray, Karen Roger and husband, Wallace, Jody Albert and wife, Dee, and Craig Albert and wife, Gail; stepchildren, Mitch Boudreaux, Mike Boudreaux, Lesley Pinell, Kelly Boudreaux, Tommy Tolbert, and Lisa Tolbert; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charles Albert and Barbara Madere. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Nell Tolbert Albert; parents, Clarence and Annie Keller Albert; and brothers, Holdrith "Bro" Albert, and Presley Albert. C.J. was a World War II U.S. Army Sergeant who served in Europe from 1944 to 1947. He was a building contractor by trade and enjoyed his retirement years trawling, which he loved. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved family gatherings, music, and dancing. He will truly be missed.
