A memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ponchatoula. She is survived by her life partner of 47 years, Betty Renes; sister, Pauline Bland Dillie, of Houma; brother, Eugene Bland, of Crossville, Tennessee; and a large family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Bland and Georgia Wooley Bland; brothers Homer Bland Sr. and wife, Gladys, Rogers, James, and Wallace Jr.; and sisters, Dorthy Bland Skeins and Josephine. Louella was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and graduate of Terrebonne High School Class of 1953. Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond is in charge of arrangements.
