Catherine Fields Gassen Bourg entered eternal life on Thursday, November 13, 
2014. 

She was the former wife of Sterling Phillip Gassen and Gary Bourg. 

Beloved mother of Cynthia Gassen Street (Steve. Sr.), Michael Anthony Gassen 
(Debbie), Nelwyn Gassen Matherne (Russell), Phyllis Gassen Friloux Ferraro 
(Craig).
Sister of Anita Melkild, SR Therese Fields, S.C.C. of Chicago, Rita Fields 
Toups; sisters-in-law, Myra Rousselle Fields, Beverly Fields and numerous 
nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents William J. Fields, Sr. and Carrie 
Zimmerle Fields; brothers, William J. Fields, Jr. and James B. Fields. 

She was a choir member for years at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in 
Luling, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Monday, November 
17, 2014 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, LA. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday 

with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA. 

Special thanks to all her doctors and staff, Heart of Hospice, Dr. Clay Gould 
and Radiation Staff at Cyberknife, Dr. Bertha Daniels and Laura, Dr. Patel at 
Cancer Center, Dr. Koppell and Dr. Paris.
