Rita Lirette Dunn, 68, a native and resident of Houma, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 
2014. 

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Thursday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 12:15 
p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 

with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma. 

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert L. Dunn; daughters, Jody 
Dunn and Robbie Berrun; sons-in-law, Rene Berrun and Jonnie Dunn; 
grandchildren, Johnathan Dunn, Justin Dunn, Destiny Berrun, Tre' Lacoste, and 
Briley Winters; great-grandson, Tre` Lacoste Jr.; and step-grandchildren, 
Patrick Berrun and Alivia Billiot. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorenza Lirette; father Emile Lirette; 
brothers, Emile Lirette Jr., Levis Lirette, Leon Lirette, and Milton Lirette; 
sisters, Irene Lambas, Eva Ratcliff, Esther Bates, and Janette Engeron; and 
several nieces and nephews. 

Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. 
She enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her dogs and 
cats. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
