Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2014/f1411.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Thomas "Tommy" William Garrett, 66, died unexpectedly and peacefully in his sleep at his camp in Belle River, Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at Thibodaux Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughters, Kimberly Garrett Fanguy, of Houma, and Keely Garrett, of Lockhart, Texas; stepsons, Tim Angelette, and Kelly Angelette and wife, Jody, of Thibodaux; grandchildren, Jeremy Hurst, of Odessa, Texas, Klint and Taylor Angelette, of Thibodaux, Marisa Fanguy, of Baton Rouge, Alexis Hurst and Skylar Griffin, of Lockhart, Texas, and Jean' Angelette, of Thibodaux; great-grandchildren, Liam Roger', of Thibodaux, LA and Ava Green, of Odessa, Texas; sister, Pat Ball, of Kingsland, Texas; brother, Doyle Garrett, of Odessa, Texas; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. and Grace Garrett; and sister, Quida Arnold. Thomas was born July 7, 1947, in Gorman, Texas, to L.B. and Grace Garrett. He graduated from Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas. He moved to Louisiana about 40 years ago to start an oil field machine shop, Turbo Pump Specialties. The name was later changed to Turbo Pump Services. He was an exceptional mechanic and businessman. He enjoyed spending time at the camp, restoring his '55 Chevy, fishing, building race motors for sprint cars, and in his younger years racing dirt bikes and racing Jeeps in the mud. He was an active member and president for several years of the Schriever Jaycees. He took much pleasure in building the annual haunted house. He was a beloved spouse, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and boss. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
