Knight, 82, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Raceland, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Mary Catholic Church cemetery, Raceland. She is survived by her husband, Jerry P. Knight; children, Paula Paratore and husband Jay, Patrick Knight and wife Tammy, Daniel Knight and wife Carol, Derrel Knight and wife Crystal, Darla Torres and husband Rodney, Robert Knight and wife Barbara, Mary Neathery and husband Terry, Jerry Knight, Jr. and wife Monica; sister, Ruby Cortez; 28 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elvira C. LeBlanc; step mother, Mariah B. LeBlanc; brother, Jessie LeBlanc, sisters, Irene Folse, Bessie Adams and Jennie Braud. Mae Ruth was an active parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church, a member of Catholic Daughters of America and the 1994 Catholic Daughter of the Year. She was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society, member of The American Legion Auxiliary, charter and past co-chair of the St. Mary's School Grandparents Club. She was an Extra-ordinary Minister of the Eucharist for the church and homebound. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother to many. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Mary School.
