Mire, 89, a native of Labadieville and longtime resident of Thibodaux, journeyed to heaven Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. John Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Mire and wife, Kathy, and Donald Mire and wife, Jan; grandchildren, Donovan Mire and Erika Rodrigue, Tony, Jeremy, Simeon and Bridget Mire, and Avie Fontenot; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney J. Mire; parents, John and Josephine Martinez Thibodeaux; brothers, Harry, Sam, John, and Clema, and Guy and Stanley Thibodeaux; and sisters, Clotile and Rose Thibodeaux and Theonese Roos. Enid was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 5097 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to travel and enjoyed playing bingo and doing crewel embroidery. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements. ======================
