Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at New Rising Sun Baptist Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Blue Lily Cemetery on Johnson Ridge. She is survived by her sons, Lawrence Jr. (Georgina) Parker and Ronald Sr. (Brenda Lee) Parker; daughters, Elaine Parker, Patricia P. LaGarde, Marilyn (Melvin) Robinson, Barbara Parker, Margaret (Robert Sr.) Young, Sandra (Lionel Sr.) Henderson, and JoAnne (Eric) Harris; 22 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Parker Sr.; parents, Benjamin and Cora Livas Jackson; daughter, Geraldine P. Douglas; grandparents, Florence and Ben Livas; brother, Wilbert Jackson; sisters, Zenobia J. Thomas, Deborah J. Coleman, Cora J. Robinson, Ora Mae Jackson, and Gertrude Jackson; two grandchildren, Dawn F. Douglas and LaRonce Parker; and one great- grandchild, Trinity J. Rainey. Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
