Brenda Ramsey, 61, a native of Windsor, Illinois, and resident of Chauvin, died 
Monday, Nov. 24, 2014. 

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday 
at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin. 

She is survived by her companion, Albert "Nego" Scott III; father, John Casper 
Ransey; sons, Kenneth Scott Jr. and companion, Toni, and Preston Paul Scott and 
companion, Julie; daughter, Jerrianne Scott and husband, Joseph Paul Scott Sr.; 
sister, Linda Pierre and husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Shantell Scott Duhon, 
Kimberly Scott, Kenneth Scott III, Aisah Scott, Jesse Scott, Dalton Scott, Ada 
Scott, Raymond Joseph Scott IV, Joseph Paul Scott Jr., Julia Marie Scott, 
Jasmine Marlene Scott, and Kaitlyn Pierce; and great-grandchild, Raymond Clay 
Duhon. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Mummel Ramsey; son, Raymond 
Joseph Scott III; and sister, Glenda Joyce Holt. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
