Bishop Arthur V. Verrett Jr., 72, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014. 

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday 
at Dularge Community Church in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. 
Saturday at the church, 

with burial in New Zion Cemetery. 

He is survived by his wife, Gracie Lewis Verrett; daughters, Sybil (Berwick) 
Coleman, Tammy (Donald) Barquet, Germain Verrett, and Angelia (Ronnie) 
Robinson; brother, Arnold (Rezona) Verrett Sr.; nine grandchildren; and one 
great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Van Verrett Sr. and Roberta 
Griffin Verrett. 

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
