Hewitt Paul White, 72, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 2:20 
a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery, Chauvin. 

He is survived by his son, Jessie White; daughters, Sadie White Luke and 
husband, Lane Luke, and Suzette White LaFont and husband, Wallace LaFont Sr.; 
brothers, Ellis John White and wife, Sandra, and Gordon White; grandchildren, 
Wallace LaFont Jr., Michael LaFont, and Hannah Luke; and great-grandchildren, 
Vincent LaFont and Harmony LaFont. 

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Viola Domangue White; and parents, 
Ernest Joseph White and Nora LeBlanc White. 

Hewitt was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. 
He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. 
He was a graduate of St. Francis De Sales and was a loving father and 
grandfather. 

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
