Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and from 9:30 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday, Dec. 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his son, Robert "Robbie" Ledet and wife, Denise; daughters, Donna LaBauve and husband, Kerry, Anita Babin and husband, Leeroy, and Lori Champagne and husband, Gary; brother, Faron Dupre and companion, Jean; grandchildren, Sandie Lyons, Kenny LaBauve and wife, Sarah, Kendall LaBauve and wife, Jill, Paul Babin and wife, Kristie, Jenny Henry and husband, Corey, Megan Neil and husband, Derek, Tiffany Ledet and fiance, Chancing, Monique Ledet and companion, Randall, Danielle Ledet and fiance, Derek, Mindy Lapeyrouse and husband, Lou, Bruce Naquin and companion, Noel, Rochelle Champagne, Lance Champagne and companion, Shawna, Anthony Ledet and wife, Lauren, Kristen Tippett and husband, Darryl, and Shaun Brunet; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ledet; parents, Wilsey and Egnolia Dupre; son, Marty Ledet; daughters, Pamela Ledet and Baby Girl Ledet; sisters, Anna Dupre, Corliss Dupre and Merrill Dupre; and great-grandchild, John Henry. Nell was a woman strong in her Catholic faith who devoted all her time to her religion and family. She had such a strong love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who never ceased to put a smile on her face. Nell was someone who could also light up someone else's face with her sense of humor. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
