William "Dee" Joseph Matherne Jr., 55, a native of Houma and resident of 
Montegut, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the 
church, 

with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church cemetery. 

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Hebert; mother, Shirley Matherne; 
grandchildren, Hunter Hebert and Cole Hebert; brother, Barry Matherne; and 
sister, Faye Breaux. 

He was preceded in death by his father, William Matherne Sr. Samart Funeral 
Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
