Gladys Cormier Morgan, 86, a native of Chauvin and resident of Jeanerette, died 
at home Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. 

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time 
Monday, Jan. 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 
10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, 

with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Chauvin. She is survived 
by her son, Arthur "Keith" Morgan and wife, Karen, of Jeanerette; daughter-in-
law, Tina Kidd Morgan; granddaughter, Rebecca Marie Morgan; grandsons, Jarred 
and Zachary Slaughter, and Dylan and Matthew Morgan; great-grandchildren, 
Brylee and Graham Slaughter; and sister, Agnes Cormier Harrington. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leussard Cormier and Clothilde Weekly 
Lognoin; son, Stanford "Scott" Morgan; brothers, Chester, J.B., Curtis, 
Patrick, Leussard Jr., Jennis "Mano," Ray Allen and Carrol Cormier; and 
sisters, Lena C. Guillory and Gracie C. Leleux. 

Gladys was a member of Little Caillou Baptist Church. She enjoyed bingo and 
Cajun music. She was a member of the American Legion. She was a loving wife, 
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a grandmother to everyone 
and never knew a stranger. 
She will be greatly missed.
