Visitation will be held at Assembly of God Church in Des Allemands on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. Military Honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. by The United Veterans League. Funeral Services will be observed at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow in Mennonite Cemetery. Nick was born on May 4, 1929 in Dawson, Georgia to the late Homer and Mittie Lavina Nichols; step mother, Vera Nichols; belated siblings, Dewey, Sanford, Edward, Mildred, Frances and Junior. Nick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gail; beloved father to Freddy, Anna, Junior, Valerie, Charles, Rosalyn, Pamela and Constance; siblings, Ralph and Ann; beloved grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
