Joseph Caffrey Percle, 86, a native and resident of Chackbay, was born Dec. 6, 
1927, and passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, Dec. 1, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 
a.m. Friday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church cemetery in Chackbay. 

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Percle Zeringue and companion, Michael 
Mullen, former son-in-law, Dennis Zeringue, Susan Percle Vaughn and husband, 
Don, and Tracie Percle Sowell and husband, Lark; brother. Colly Percle; 
grandchildren, Kimberly Frazier and husband, Lonnie, Melissa Zeringue, 
Christine Parker and husband, Ty, Dennis Zeringue Jr. and wife, Richille, Lark 
C. Sowell, and Lauren A. Sowell; great-grandchildren, Heather, Haley, Brad, 
Chloe, and Dani; great-great-grandchild, Bryan; and loving nephew, Gary "Boo" 
Percle. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orphe and Corrine Percle; siblings, 
Edward Percle, Warren Percle, Milda Percle Landry Schaubhut, and Pelma Percle 
Shano; and stepsister, Lillian Kraemer Legendre. 

Joseph was employed by American Cyanamid/Cytec for more than 30 years. 
He will always be remembered for his love of life, people, and food, especially 
ice cream. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
