Laura M. Rhynes, 92, a native of Harvey and resident of Thibodaux, departed 
this earthly life Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. 

Private services will be held at a later date. 

Laura and her late husband, James Rhynes, were the parents of the late Barbara 
Faucheux. Laura is survived by her daughter, Janice Mire and late husband, 
Mitch Mire; grandchildren, Donna Dufrene, Mark Faucheux, Michael Faucheux, the 
late Angela Boyd, Stephanie Faucheux, Malcolm Dupre' Jr., Curtis Dupre', Scott 
Dupre', Erin Mire and Dana Benoit; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-
grandchildren. 

She was the eldest of her 10 siblings, the late Salvador, Louis, Bessie, 
Charles, Mary Grace, Joseph, Antoinette, and the surviving daughters, Rose Mary 
and Dolores. 
She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Roselie Macaluso. Laura and 
her late husband were the owners of Rhynes Florist for more than 50 years. 

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
