Floyd Lee Smith Sr., 74, a native of Holly Ridge and resident of Thibodaux, 
died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014. 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, Dec. 26, at Thibodaux 
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, 

with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 and 1/2 years, Ida Mae Tabor Smith; children, 
Floyd Lee "Sonny" Smith Jr. and Michele Leigh Smith Toups (Danny J. Toups Jr.); 
and grandchildren, Brandon Kyle White and Emily Daniele Toups; siblings, James 
Calvin Smith, Banks Foster Smith Jr. and Barbara Ann Hebert. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Banks Foster Smith Sr. and Jewell 
Farmer Smith; and siblings, Doris Jean Crosby and Bobby Wayne Smith. 

Floyd was a die-hard LSU and Saints fan. He played golf six days a week. The 
family would like to thank STAT Home Health Care and St. Joseph Hospice, 
especially Stacy Smith, for Floyd's care during this difficult time. 

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
