He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 9:00 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Wife, Brooke Lane DeRoche Spiers; parents, Tommie "Craig" and Pamela Frances McLaughlin Spiers; son, Craig Anthony Spiers and wife, Courtney; daughters, Anjelica Marie Spiers and fiance, Nathan Benson, Ravyn Nicole Spiers and Anna Marie DeRoche; brother, Dustin Wesley Spiers and wife, Felecia; grandchildren, Kendalyn and Kyson Spiers; nephew/godchild, Wesley Spiers; niece, Lila Spiers; aunt, Jerri Spiers. Preceded in death by, Grandparents, Tommy and Barbara Spiers, and Cliff and Louise McLaughlin. He was a member of Bayou Blue Assembly of God. He was a former Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy and currently employed by Schlumberger as an IT Specialist. He served in the US Navy as Petty Officer Second Class for 11 years. He enjoyed books, soccer, movies and was an avid Saints Fan. Erich was a kind, gentle and positive man, who was loved by all. Family was his whole heart! U.S. Veteran ======================
