Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a private burial to be held by the family at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Ward; daughters, Lauren Nicole Ward and Randi Jean Dean; son, Deloren Stanley; brothers, Mickey Ward, Alan Ward, Kerry Ward and wife, Ellen Ward, and Richard Ward, all of Houma. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Shelbi Dean, Courtney Barton, Brienna Barton, Halie Dean, and Jacob Dean. In addition to all the many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins who are left after Don's passing, he will be greatly missed by his two furry best friends, Madison Clair, a Boxer, and Roscoe, a very charming and handsome "mutt". He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria Jennewine Ward and Thomas Alex Ward; and brothers, James "Jimmy" and Tommy "White Bean" Ward. Don was not a parishioner of any church, but he was one soulful dude who acted out of love throughout his life. He was a devoted Saints and LSU fan. He loved hunting, riding four-wheelers, good music, and many other simple things in life. Don will be missed beyond words. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
