Murphy Anthony Babin III, 52, a native and resident of Houma, died Friday, Jan. 
30, 2015. 

A memorial service will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, with a prayer service at 
7:30 p.m. at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. 

He is survived by his son, Murphy Anthony "Jake" Babin IV; daughter, Kami Kay 
Babin; former wife, Tammie Gay Babin; stepson, Michael Randolph Jr.; sister, 
Derra Bennett and husband, Randy; brothers, Randy and Klint Babin and wife, 
Patty; granddaughter, Jade Lee Randolph; nieces, Brandy Randolph, Madelyn 
Bennett, Mandy Trahan, Kari Griffin, Brooke Babin and Hallee Babin; nephew, 
Jude Bennett; and numerous great-nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Anthony "Skipper" Babin Jr. and 
Mary Ann Pellegrin Babin; granddaughter, Lani Roxanne Babin; and grandparents, 
Murphy Babin Sr. and Levi Robichaux and Murphy Pellegrin and Clothilde 
Pellegrin. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with 
funeral expenses. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
