Yvonne Josephine DeHart, 57, a native of Brownsville, Texas, and resident of 
Theriot, died at 7:52 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015. 

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, and from 9 a.m. until funeral 
time Friday, Jan. 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Liturgy of the Word 
will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, 

with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. 

She is survived by her spouse of 37 years, Eura DeHart Sr.; sons, Eura DeHart 
Jr., Lance DeHart and wife, Careese DeHart, and Clevis DeHart; daughter, Iva 
DeHart Lirette and husband, Avery Lirette Jr.; brothers, John Elderton Jr. and 
wife, Lori Elderton, and Johnny Elderton and companion, Lucy Sisco; sister, 
Lavonne Elderton Liner and husband, Sterling Liner Jr.; and grandchildren, 
Brayden Lirette, Carter DeHart, Ava Lirette and Kyndalyn Verdin. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Elderton Sr. and Eva Boudreaux 
Elderton. 

Yvonne was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. 
She loved the outdoors. She most especially enjoyed playing with her 
grandchildren and spending time with her husband and children. She will be 
dearly missed by her family and friends. 

Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
