Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, Feb. 6, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral Cemetery in Thibodaux. She is survived by her husband, John Frank Hale; sons, Patrick John Babin Sr. and Kathy, and Donovan Paul Babin and fiancee, Tara Curole; daughters, Anita M. Babin Gomez and husband, Angel, Norma Ann Babin and fiance, Charles "Chucky" Talbot, and Janet L. Babin Bergeron; grandchildren, Jamie B. Malespin, Robert A. and Rosa M. Gomez, Morgan J. Babin, Patrick J. Babin Jr., Anthony A. Bergeron, Abby-Jo Theriot, and Shyla M. and Darian Babin; great-grandchildren, Isabella Malespin and Issac Russom; stepson, John Hale Jr.; stepdaughters, Leslie A. Hale Bourgeois and Maria M. Hale; step-grandchildren, Adriean and Chase Hale, Desiree' Shoemaker and Amber Bourgeois; and siblings, Anna Gonzalez, Paul Deon and Betty Medina. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Angus John Babin; parents, Joseph and Marie Lovell Deon; and siblings, Francis, Leroy, Calvin, Wilbert, Katherine, Joseph Jr., and Shirley. Vivian enjoyed traveling, cooking, listening to live music and being surrounded by her family. She had a love for red roses. She touched the lives of those she knew and will be missed by all.
