Beatrice Joseph, 79, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, Jan. 
10, 2015. 

Visiting will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday, Jan. 15, at Third 
Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday 
at the church, 

with burial in Young Men's Benevolent Society Cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband, Alton Joseph; son, Freddie Gaines Jr.; 
daughters, Shirley Holmes and Joann Brown; brothers, Early and Eddie Thomas; 
sisters, Gertie Walker and Olivia Triggs; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great 
grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Stella Thomas; sons, Nick and 
Tuck Gaines; brothers, Clarence, Wilbert and Ben Thomas Jr.; and sisters, 
Lillian Joseph, Francis Folse and Eldora Thomas. 

Kennedy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
