Mary Ann Hidalgo MacBurney, 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. 

She was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Thibodaux to the late Klebert and Alicia Rodrigue 
Hidalgo. 

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at St. John's Evangelist 
Catholic Church 

with burial in St. John's Evangelist Catholic Church cemetery in Thibodaux. 

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Folse and Cynthia Herman (Charles); 
grandchildren, Alicia Davis (Alvin), Korie Folse, Caitlin Hector (Chad) and 
Charles "Chip" Herman; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-
grandchildren; sister, Ouida Pennison; stepdaughters, Joyce Coda and Maureen 
MacBurney; and stepson, Michael MacBurney (Chris). 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. MacBurney; brothers, Guy, 
Roland, Arthur and Frank Hidalgo; and sister, Agnes Malhiet. 

Schmidt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
