Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1501.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A funeral service celebrating the life of Louise Martin will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 30th, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Larose, LA, with Rev. Gary Hanberry officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church cemetery of Larose under the direction of Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA. Visitation will be observed at the church on January 30th from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. A memorial service will be held on January 31st at 2:00 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Alexandria, LA. Visitation will be observed from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Louise Martin, 95, born in Graysport, MS and a resident of Alexandria, LA, passed from this life on Friday, January 23rd, 2015, at Rapides Regional Hospital in Alexandria, LA, following a brief illness. Louise was an elementary school teacher in Larose, LA for thirty years. She was a member of the Lafourche and the Louisiana Retired Teachers' Associations as well as a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Louise had lived in Larose for 41 years, was a charter member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for many years. In 1996 she and her husband, Houston Martin, moved to Alexandria, LA where she became a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. There she was a facilitator of the Women on Mission Esther Bible Study group for nine years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Abigail Anderson; her husband, Houston Martin; son, Houston Gaines Martin; two brothers, Richard Anderson and Gaines Anderson; five sisters, Ella and Olive Anderson, Ruth Spears, Grace McLaughlin, and Frances Strahan; and one nephew, Robert Cade.
