George "Doc" Alexander Nicol, 70, a native of Neptune, New Jersey, and resident 
of Houma, died at 3:23 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Holy Rosary 
Cemetery. 

He is survived by his son, Lester Chiasson, of Houma; daughter, Evelyn Chiasson 
Bailey, of Greenback, Tennessee; brothers, Robert Nicol Jr., of Hanover, 
Pennsylvania, Allen Nicol, of Barnegat, New Jersey, and Doug Nicol, of 
Whiteing, New Jersey; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one 
great-great-grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa JoAnn Nicol; parents, Robert and 
Loretta Peters Nicol; and son, Dan Christopher Pontiff. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
