William Eddie Whitfield Sr., 82, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Austin 
Whitfield, Feb. 7, 1932. He fell asleep in death Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Monday, Jan. 12, at Samart 
Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral 
home, 

with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Eldridge Foret Whitfield; sons, 
William "Billy" Whitfield Jr., Jesse and wife, Debra, and Stephen and wife, 
Donna; daughter, Cynthia Whitfield Pellegrin; stepdaughters, Cynthia Martin, 
Molly Marcel, Fran Moree, Patrice Freeze and Rachel Bourg; 24 grandchildren; 
and 35 great-grandchildren. 

"Wild Bill" as some knew him, will be greatly missed. 

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
