David Francis Champagne, 52, died Monday, February 2, 2015 at 02:54 AM. 
He was a native and resident of Theriot, LA.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 
funeral time at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 
held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Eloi Catholic Church. 

Burial will be held in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Linette Bergeron Champagne; mother, 
Virginia Marie Champagne; son, Jeffery D.Champagne; daughter, Courtney C. 
Koldys and companion, Carrie Barclay; grandson, David "Trey" Koldys III; 
brother, Paul A. Champagne and wife, Nadine; sister, Jennifer C. Toups and 
husband, Charles; mother-in-law, Enola Bergeron.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Francis Champagne; son, Eli 
Joseph Champagne; father-in-law, Godfrey Bergeron, Sr.

He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.

He was an employee of Cannata's for 23 years. He was known by many as "Griz". 
He was happiest in his garden, fishing and cooking. 
He was a wonderful husband, father, paw paw and son. He loved his dog Teko.
