Mary Margaret Leonard, 65, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, 
Feb. 12, 2015, at her home. 

A Memorial Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at St. Thomas Aquinas 
Catholic Church in Thibodaux. 

She donated her body to the Tulane Anatomical Center. 

She is survived by three sisters, Merlin L. Simek, Marion L. Meredith (Troy) 
and Mazie L. Quick (Emile); brothers, Donald (Shirley) and Lawrence; and 
numerous nieces and nephews who she loved. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney J. Leonard and Marie Toups 
Leonard; and grandparents, Leonce and Alice Leonard, and Edgar and Marie 
Lambert Toups. 

Mary, a Down Syndrome patient worked in the Sign-R-Us center through Lafourche 
ARC. 

Special thanks goes to the Journey Hospice staff for their very caring 
services.
