Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1502.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Dorothy Lietch Butler Holly Wilhoit, 100, a native of Granbury, Texas, and resident of Houma, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. She was born Nov. 7, 1914. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Feb. 24, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial will be in Granbury, Texas, with Wiley's Fuenral Home handling arrangements. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Donlene Butler, of Belle Chasse; sons- in- law, Tommy Briscoe, of Tolar, Texas, and James Van Zandt, of Zwollee; grandchildren, Becky Harris (Jackie), of Houma, Victor Lynn Van Zandt, of Stillwell, Oklahoma, Sheila Schultz (Kenneth), of Deridder, Jana Stratman (Paul), of Kansas City, Missouri, James Clayton Van Zandt, of Humble, Texas, Dennis Butler (Gina), of Cypress, Texas, Jeff Briscoe (Lynne), of Fort Worth, Texas, Dean Butler (Susan), of Baton Rouge, and Donald Butler (Jenni), of Troy, Ohio; 23 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nora Lietch; brother, Darwin Lietch; sister, Vivian Lietch; husbands, Dennis "Shorty" Butler, James Frank Holly, and Richard Wilhoit; daughters, Barbara Van Zandt and Bettie Briscoe; sons, Dennis Butler and his twin brother, Howard Ronald (who died at birth); and great-granddaughter, Joy Fazzio Griffin. Dorothy was greatly loved by her family and friends, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. She was a member of the Hollywood Road Church of Christ in Houma. Since she had been in Houma, she formed many new friendships at church and in the community. While living in Granbury, Texas, she attended the Granbury Church of Christ and the Thorps Spring Church of Christ.
