He was a native of Chauvin and resident of Bourg, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Monday, April 6, 2015 at 9:00 AM until funeral time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his, sons, Ivan Francis Authement, Jr. and wife, Jenny, and Wayne Michael Authement and wife, Roxanne; daughters, Marla A. Davis and Sandra Marie Sevin and husband, Joey; grandchildren, Sandi A. Chauvin, Summer A. Pinell, Brandi D. Daigle, Downi D. Curry, Pete Davis, Jonas and Brennan Sevin, Bethanie Authement, Brittany and Ashley Verdin; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Chyna, Lily, Luca, Zachary, Kaitlin, Drew, Caroline, Ella, Landon and Amelia. He was preceded in death by his, wife of 56 years, Mary Louise Pitre Authement; parents, Louis and Julienne "Emelda" Bergeron Authement; brothers, Lenis, Magnel and Magnus Authement; sisters, Lela A. Pellegrin and Eva A. Pellegrin; grandparents, Oscar Octave and Eva Eulalia A. Authement, and Althe and Loula Bergeron. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ivan lived his life with great faith and joy. Singing was his signature, and dancing was his passion. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed with the love he so abundantly showered upon them. His funny sayings, such as “Koodie cuckoo said the duck," will remain forever in our hearts as a reminder of his endearing personality. We'll love him forever ======================
