Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2015/f1503.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Leland Luke Babin, 86, born on November 10, 1928, a native and resident of Houma, left his earthly home for heaven on March 18, 2015 at 5:40 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 8:30am until 10:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Ricky Babin of Bourg; Ronnie Babin and wife, Karry of Richmond Texas; one daughter, Robin Babin of Tallahassee, Florida; one brother, Lester Babin of Houma, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Babin, his parents, Norris P and Ellen Picou Babin, one daughter, Becky Babin Whatley, one son, Randel Babin Sr. one grandson, Jacob Babin, three granddaughters, Allison, Summer and Brittany. Leland honorably served his country during WWII in the US Navy as a third motor machinist's mate. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman in his native wetlands of South Louisiana. If you wanted a story Leland had plenty to share and loved to visit family and friends. After over 40 years, he retired from the oil field service industry. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Houma. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
