Wavernell Bellizana Belcher, 66, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died at 1:26 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2015. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Saturday, March 21, at Mt. 
Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at 
the church, 

with burial in Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Gibson cemetery. 

She is survived by her husband, Walter Frank Belcher; daughters, Dana McBride 
(Fabian), Delvikeo Picou, and Brandy Rideaux (Darryl); stepdaughters, Lynne and 
Lia Belcher; sisters, Eula B. Allen (James), Joan B. Clark (Frederick), Wilma 
B. Hawkins, Brenda B. Aubert, Carolyn B. McGill (Jerry), Janet B. Ruffin and 
Carmen Bolden; brother, Charles Bellizana; and three grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Sr. and Vellia Robinson 
Bellizana; brother, Jack Belizone Jr.; and sisters, Eloise B. Payne and Delores 
Cheavis. 

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
