Elphege Joseph "Jr." Brunet, Jr., 83, a native and resident of Galliano, passed 
from this earth on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano on Monday, 
April 6, 2015 from 9:00 am till service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will 
begin at 11:00 am 

with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vina Mae Hebert Brunet; sons, Glenn 
John Brunet and wife Leah and Dean John Brunet and wife Ann; daughters, Robbin 
B. Avera and husband Buster and Avis B. Bourgeois and husband Dwayne; brother, 
Andrew "Tan" Brunet; sister, Ola B. Freeman; grandchildren, Danielle B. 
Rodrigue and husband Tommy, Beth B. Pitre and husband Jacques, Adelaide L. 
Avera, Francine A. Avera, Andre' C. Brunet and wife Erica, Armand M. Brunet, 
Paul J. Fremin, Jill T. Fremin, Olivia R. Bourgeois, Dallas L. Bourgeois and 
wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Ross D. Rodrigue, Madison L. Pitre, Marcus L. 
Pitre, Blair J. Cortez, Sophia E. Brunet, and Estelle L. Bourgeois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elphege Joseph Brunet, Sr. and 
Francine Marie Gisclair Brunet; and sisters, Dudline B. Louviere and Irma B. 
Lagrange.

He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, avid outdoorsman, 
member of the St. Joseph Holy Name Society, and former co-owner of Brunet 
Lumber Yard in Galliano.
