Michael David Cunningham Sr., a native and life-long resident of Houma, passed 
away on Saturday, March 21, 2015.

Visitation will be held 8 AM until service time on Tuesday at Falgout Funeral 
Home. A prayer service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday in the funeral home 
chapel 

with burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery II.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cynthia Lirette Cunningham; 2 sons, 
Michael David Cunningham Jr. and wife Rachel and Scott Matthew Cunningham and 
fiancée Kristie Boudreaux; daughter, Holly Cunningham Boudreaux and husband 
Michael; 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katherine, Olivia, Sydney, Julien, Emma, 
Abigail, and Michael P.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lilly Bert Cunningham; 
sister, Barbara Lapeyrouse; and brother-in-law, Stephen Lapeyrouse.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired employee of Texaco where he was 
employed for 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, restoring vintage automobiles, and 
making wine. His legacy can be seen through his devotion to his beloved wife. 

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely 
missed.
