Gaspard, 95, a native and resident of Golden Meadow passed away March 11, 2015. Visitation will take place on Friday March 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church from 12 noon till service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 pm with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery. Mr. Loris is survived by his son Danny Gaspard and wife Kate, daughters Jeanette G. Cheramie and Elaine G. Rodrigue and husband Danny, grandchildren Donna Billiot, Angela Matherne, Nina Blanchard, Cheryl and Mark Cheramie, Tommy Rodrigue, and Amy Ashmun, great grandchildren Brittany and Kelsie Danos, Johnny Gaspard, Drey, Jordy and Kyler Matherne, Jo'Leigh Matherne, Beau and Nicholas Blanchard, Julie and Jake Diaz, Brooklyn Cheramie, Alaina Ashmun, and Ross Rodrigue, great great grandchildren Neveah Washington, Nariah Washington, and Maddie Gaspard, brothers Wilkerson Gaspard and Tilden Gaspard Sr. and sister Anna Cheramie. Mr. Gaspard was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Claudia Guidry Gaspard, parents Wilson and Lucille Daigle Gaspard, brothers Paligue Gaspard and Sidness Gaspard, sister Gustavia Gislcair and son-in-law Gerald Cheramie, and. Mr. Loris was a talented musician who played fiddle in the Gaspard Family Band and then accordion in the Gaspard Brother Band. He was a wonderful husband and father who was a carpenter, mechanic, fisherman, trapper and jack of all trades, a True Cajun Man.
